Idk idc but if I were literally in this universe I would treat the phantom like my baby Raoul annoyed me It’s probably because it’s Gerard butler but I’m melting right away and the actor that played raoul I wasn’t into , NOT SAYING THE PHANTOM WASNT PROBLEMATIC, like basically talking to a child until she’s old enough and sings well enough to marry (gross) but the movie honestly id melt over the phantom But that’s just me 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🫠 Nah he could get it sorry not sorry But he was the problem fr

Also on that note raoul was like “omg we played as kids and you sing great ….. IM SO INLOVE” Literally she shouldn’t have chosen either at that point if we’re all being fr

Bulter was the first phantom I watched. However after watching a bunch of theatre versions online (planning on seeing it in person soon). It just feels passionless, he’s not got the vocal range and quite honestly Emily sounds bored

Lol yeah! I'm done 😂 And what about when he grabs Chrissie and says: "You have truly made my night!" 2:14 😂 This is a damn tragic story, so it is essential to ease the angst with some fun...

@@ayeshathestranger Yeah I do love Gerard’s ACTING, he can switch between menacing to humorous pretty well.. all the while we know he’s on the brink of losing it.

Although it was moving, this ending does not have much logic, since the story begins in 1870 and ends in 1919, almost 50 years have passed and taking into account that the Phantom was in his 40s when he met and fell in love with Chirstine, in 1919 would already be almost 100 years old, therefore he couldn't still be alive, unless he had become a real ghost.

I know some people complained about casting Gerald Butler as the Phantom since he’s only good singer but not a great singer that has the full range of the stage show Phantom actors. And they are right but damn does Gerald Butler nail the intensity and rawness of Erik’s tragic life.

Heart-wrenching from all angles. But I kind of wish Raoul had shown up later instead of sooner…the Phantom and Christine were having some deep conversation; I wanted to hear the rest. 🫤

So from a viewer's perspective, this is brilliant. I love that the line 'I gave you my mind blindly' was spoken rather than sung. That's the one issue with the musical and it's more of a petty thing to be bothered by. Also Gerard Butler's Phantom has nothing on Ramin Karimloo's phantom.

Yeah, lmao agree! 🤣 And next time Raoul, when you cross his way, KEEP YOUR HANDS AT THE LEVEL OF YOUR EYES!!! Raoul fought so "hard" even when he set a trap for Erik and put Christine there as the bait. She was frightened, begged him: "Dont put me through this ordeal by fire!", but that schoolboy just pushed the envelope...and was surprised and cried like a baby when Christine swooned when with Erik on the PONR stage. Well, shall I say, Chrissie will wear te trousers in that pathetic comedy of a marriage?

I always loved the way the Phantom says "The world showed no compassion to *me*!" Unlike most Broadway Phantoms, Butler's delivery when Raoul asks him to show compassion, just translates to "Why the fuck should I?"
